The Clinical Studies of Natto BP Plus™ for Better Heart Health
Natto BP Plus™ was formulated to provide a full range of nutritional support for your heart and overall health.
A clinical study conducted in 2017 evaluated a total of 76 patients related to nattokinase. Following the treatments for 26 weeks, there was a significant reduction in CCA-IMT and carotid plaque size in both groups compared with the baseline before treatment. The carotid plaque size and CCA-IMT reduced. The reduction in the NK group was significantly profound. Both treatments reduced total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and triglyceride (TG). While the reduction in both groups was shown to be statistically significant, the reduction of TC, LDL-C and TG in ST group was significantly greater.
A study conducted in 2006 took place during 8 weeks with 30 patients. It was found that ingestion of 1.5 g/day bonito peptides, containing 5 mg of LKPNM, was shown to modulate ACE activity, and helped maintain systolic and diastolic pressure balance.
Another crossover study with 37 patients examining the effects of a bonito peptide soup containing 1.5 g of bonito peptides found the bonito broth significantly modulated ACE activity.
In chronic heart disease patients, acetyl-l-carnitine administration over 12 months has been shown to attenuate left ventricular dilatation and prevent ventricular remodeling while reducing incidence of chronic heart failure. The protective effects of L-carnitine supplementation also extend to acute myocardial infarction. L-carnitine administration and subsequent oral maintenance therapy has been shown to attenuate progressive left ventricular dilatation and appears to reduce myocardial injury through improving carbohydrate metabolism and reducing the toxicity of high free fatty acid levels.
Another study conducted in 2013 evaluated the efficacy of celery seed extract in mild to moderate hypertensive patients.The results showed a decrease in systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure at week 3 compared to baseline. Celery seems to lower blood pressure by acting as both a diuretic and vasodilator through impacting the production of prostaglandins, as well as acting in a similar manner to calcium-channel blockers. Celery has also been shown to lower blood cholesterol levels and reduce the formation of arterial plaque in preclinical studies.
